Meet Mitali
A personal journey that became Mitra Yoga
My journey began in Delhi, where I grew up and later spent over a decade working in the fast-paced internet industry. With a postgraduate degree in business administration, I built a successful corporate career—but beneath the surface, I felt increasingly disconnected and mentally exhausted.
That turning point led me to yoga.
What started as a search for relief slowly became a path of deep healing and self-discovery. I left the corporate world and travelled to Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga, where I immersed myself in traditional learning. There, I completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training—200 hours foundational and 300 hours advanced—gaining not just skills, but a new way of living and understanding.
After moving to the United States, I realized that many people were practicing yoga without truly understanding its depth. That inspired me to teach differently.
In my classes, I don’t just guide you through poses—I help you understand them. We explore the why behind every movement, building a practice that is both mindful and meaningful.
Whether your body needs softness or strength, I meet you where you are. I teach with love, patience, and respect for your unique journey—because yoga is not about perfection, it’s about connection.
